76 4 bolt main bored .040. cast 307/327 crankshaft, scat 3icr5700 rods from skip white performance, bone stock 305 heads 58cc, isky 137F solid flat tappet cam, elgin solid lifters, 4340 stamped steel roller tip rockers, .080 thick 8.050 long push rods, kmj stud girdle, weiand intake and a holley 750 that’s been jetted 65 in front and 68 in rear and a points distributor with accel shorty plugs. car has moser axles, bearings, seals, a g80 locker and a Richmond 410 gear. with the governor swap it doesn’t shift like before. use to it lit the tires up and wound out pretty high before shifting. now it shifts around mid rmp unless fully manual shifting. i started off with a gilmer belt drive but they don’t except clutch or manual fans, they can but you’ll start throwing the belt right after. so i started with 2 electric fans (use relays) or burn up an alternator. now it’s v belts with a manual fan and it cools about 8 degrees cooler.
